Palavela
The Palavela, a sports arena on Via Ventimiglia in Turin, hosted six matches of the CEV Enel EuroVolley 2026, the men's volleyball European Championship, between 20 and 23 September 2026: four round-of-16 matches and two quarter-finals, an event organized by CEV and Fipav with the support of the Regione Piemonte, the City of Turin and the Chamber of Commerce.1
On 20 September, the Italian national team, led by head coach Fefè De Giorgi, beat Denmark 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-11) in front of the home crowd at the arena, qualifying for the quarter-finals played on 23 September, again at the Palavela, against Finland.23
From 10 October 2026, the Palavela reopens its ice skating rink to the public for the 2026/2027 "Palavela on Ice" season, following more than 40,000 visitors in the previous season. The program includes Saturday Open Days from 17 October to 28 November, with 50-minute lessons for 7 euros, themed evenings turning the rink into an ice disco from November to March, and, on 27 February 2027, the show "Artica – Dove il ghiaccio diventa arte".4
