Our Lady of the Rosary Patronal Feast 2026 in Monteu da Po
The Our Lady of the Rosary Patronal Feast is an event held in Monteu da Po, a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Turin, from 2 to 4 October 2026. The event is organized by the Pro Loco of Monteu da Po, chaired by Giovanni Facco, and takes place as per tradition in Piazza Bava, where a covered pavilion is set up to host participants. The 2026 edition is held under the patronage of the City of Monteu da Po, the Piedmont Region, the Piedmont Regional Council and the Metropolitan City of Turin, and is organized in collaboration with UNPLI Nazionale and the "Collina Monferrato Torinese" Commercial District.[1]
Programme
The programme unfolds over three days. On Friday 2 October, at 6.00 p.m., the exhibition "Di carta e di viaggi" opens, set up both inside the Church of San Grato and en plein air along the village's main street, where it can be visited until Sunday 4 October; this is followed at 8.00 p.m. by a dinner featuring a Grand Fried Fish platter and at 10.00 p.m. by a music evening with Fabry Deejay.[1]
On Saturday 3 October, the archaeological site of the ancient Roman city of Industria is open for a special opening, with guided tours led by the Athena Association from 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 4.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. In the afternoon, the sports field hosts the Torneo dei Borghi, organized by ASD Atletico Monteu, along with the 17th edition of the Stramonteu, a non-competitive run accompanied by the Strabau, a dog-walking event followed by a dog show. In the evening, the 11th edition of the Stuffed Potato Festival takes place, featuring smoked ribs and other specialities, along with a music evening with RI-COVER and Fabry Deejay.[1]
On Sunday 4 October, at 9.00 a.m., a gathering of tractors and agricultural machinery is held, including a non-competitive tractor gymkhana, dedicated to the memory of Alfredo Mason, Giovanni Bottacin and Andrea Cricca. From 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., the third edition of Bancarellando takes place, a market featuring artisans, hobbyists and local associations.[1]
Food and Wine
Among the festival's culinary highlights are the 22nd edition of the Panissa Festival, a typical local dish, the 11th edition of the Stuffed Potato Festival, the Grand Mixed Boiled Meat with classic Piedmontese sauces, and the Grand Fried Fish platter served on Friday.[1]
