Nucleo Carabinieri Forestale di Bussoleno
The Nucleo Carabinieri Forestale di Bussoleno is a unit of the Carabinieri based in Bussoleno, in Valle di Susa, responsible for protecting the environmental and landscape heritage of its area of jurisdiction, in the Metropolitan City of Turin.[1]
Oversight activity
Between the end of summer and the autumn of 2026 the unit stepped up environmental checks in Valle di Susa, focusing on the "La Riposa" locality, in the municipality of Mompantero, situated just below the municipal mountain hut.[1]
In this area the Carabinieri caught several drivers who had parked their vehicles directly on grassland, despite the presence of no-parking signs, and issued administrative fines totalling around €1,000, under the regional rules that ban motor vehicles from driving or parking on meadows, pastures and unauthorised cultivated land.[1]
Relations with local authorities
The unit's action in Mompantero received the support of the municipal administration, which stressed the importance of the checks not only for their deterrent effect, but also for raising civic awareness of the need to preserve Alpine soil.[1]
