Fines for Parking on the Meadows at La Riposa, Mompantero

La Riposa is a locality in the municipality of Mompantero, in the Susa Valley, located just below the municipal refuge (rifugio). Between the end of summer and autumn 2026 it is subject to intensified checks by the Carabinieri Forestry Unit (Nucleo Carabinieri Forestale) of Bussoleno, to protect the valley's environmental and landscape heritage ^[1].

Officers catch and fine the owners of several vehicles that had been parked directly on the meadows of the area, ignoring the no-parking signs in place there ^[1]. Those identified as offenders are given administrative fines totalling about 1,000 euros ^[1].
