Launch of the World Winery Map (October 2026)

On 4 October 2026 the World Winery Map, a new global geospatial wine database, was launched.¹²

The map records 4,268 wineries and 182,897 vineyards in Piemonte, noting average growing-season temperatures 1.6 °C higher than in Spain's Rioja.¹²
