Istituto Alberghiero Arturo Prever
The Istituto Alberghiero Arturo Prever is a hotel and catering school in Pinerolo. On 3 October 2026, an act of vandalism damaged its main building, with fire extinguishers emptied in classrooms and corridors, forcing the school to close.[1][2]
On 1 October 2026, a minor classmate burned a 19-year-old disabled student's arm with a lighter in the school's changing rooms, after mocking him; none of those present intervened. [3]
Headteacher Roberta Martino reported the incident to the carabinieri and opened disciplinary proceedings against the classmate responsible, who risks expulsion from the school; the case file has been forwarded to Turin's Juvenile Prosecutor's Office. [4]
