Illegal toy sale on via Finalmarina on 6 November 2026
Date of the event:
On 6 November 2026 Turin's Municipal Police intervened on via Finalmarina, in the Lingotto district, outside the Vittorino da Feltre school, where a 41-year-old Italian man was caught illegally selling toys, taking advantage of the influx of children and families at the school's entrance [1][2].
The intervention
Officers from the Nizza command reached the scene in the morning after a report from the school about an unlicensed vendor during the students' arrival time. In addition to the emergency patrol dispatched by the operations centre, another patrol was sent that, on the afternoon of the previous day, Thursday 5 November, had already moved the same man away from another school [1][2].
Previous checks
On that first occasion, officers had warned the man against selling and opened administrative checks, which confirmed that he had no authorisation of any kind for street vending. The warning did not stop the man from returning to sell his goods the following day [1][2].
Fine and seizure
For selling without authorisation, officers imposed an administrative fine totalling 5,164 euros and seized the goods on sale. According to the report, the operation is part of the checks carried out by Turin's Municipal Police to protect safety and order in the areas outside schools during students' arrival and departure times [1][2].
