Grow Your Talents

Grow Your Talents is an excellence programme of the Politecnico di Torino, reserved for a small selection of first-year students in Engineering degree courses. The programme runs entirely in English and runs alongside, without replacing, the standard university curriculum [1].

Programme features

The programme lasts three years and aims to develop practical and relational skills from the first months of university, such as project management, communication and teamwork, without adding further theory to the Engineering courses already provided [1]. Over the three years, selected first-year students take part in hands-on workshops, residential work weekends and direct meetings with companies, professionals and research centres. The programme also provides access to dedicated internships and real-world projects, together with a small financial contribution to support their studies from the second year onward [1].

Admission to the programme is through a university-wide selection based on entrance test scores and the level of English language proficiency [1].

November 2026 admissions

In November 2026, two former students of the Liceo Scientifico Scienze Applicate (a science lyceum track with an applied-sciences emphasis) at the Istituto Nicola Pellati in Nizza Monferrato, Gabriele Giribaldi and Simone Fazio, were admitted to the programme for their first year of university, enrolling respectively in Computer Engineering and Mathematical Engineering [1]. The news was announced by the school itself, which highlighted how admission to a programme reserved for a small group of first-year students represents recognition of the work done during secondary school [1].
