Geographies – Climate and Bodies in Relation (October-December 2026)
«Geografie – clima e corpi in relazione» is a city-wide cultural project in Turin, conceived by Tékhné APS in collaboration with Quinta Tinta APS, running through the programming of Earthink Festival 2026. After an initial phase devoted to the relationship between environment, territory and community, from 8 October to 10 December 2026 the project shifts its focus to bodies and relationships, addressing themes such as boundaries, gazes, social expectations and gender-related power relations. The activities take place in Case del Quartiere, civic libraries and other neighborhood venues across the city [1][2].
Program
The new chapter opens on 8 October 2026, at 5 pm, at the Centro d'Incontro on corso Casale 212, with the theatrical reading «Lettera a Marilyn Monroe», curated by Tékhné APS and Quinta Tinta APS. On the centenary of the actress's birth, the performance uses her image to question the social construction of the body, gender roles and the power of the gaze. The path dedicated to Marilyn Monroe continues on 12 November at the Italo Calvino Civic Library and on 3 December at the Primo Levi Civic Library [1][2].
On 27 and 28 October, at Cecchi Point – Salone delle Arti, «Confini» takes place, a twelve-hour workshop led by Annalisa Arione for performing arts professionals, dedicated to personal and collective boundaries, listening and the responsibility of representation; a public showing of the work is scheduled for 28 October at 6 pm [2].
On 29 October, at 9 pm, again at Cecchi Point, «Rosso» is staged, with Simona Guandalini and Annalisa Arione, stage movement by Maria Cristina Fontanelle and direction and lighting by Roberta Mastroluca; according to Il Torinese the third performer is Daniela Russo, while according to TorinoOggi it is Daniela Lusso. The performance, built on monologues and improvisation, addresses harassment, consent, power and gender inequality; on 30 October at 10 am it is also offered to high schools [1][2].
On 12 November, at 9 pm, at Cecchi Point, «Sei la fine del mondo (letteralmente)» is scheduled, a production by Carrozzerie n.o.t., with Valentina Ghelfi and Selene Demaria, text and direction by Annachiara Vispi and stage movement by Giulia Macrì [2].
Purpose and Venues
According to both sources, the project aims to continue Earthink Festival's mission by turning the relationship between environment and community into a broader investigation into the relationships that run through bodies and the city, in the belief that environmental sustainability and social justice belong to the same «geography» [1][2]. Information and bookings for the events are handled by Tékhné APS through the email address info@tekhneteatro.com and the phone number 370 3155341 [1].
