Funeral of Felice «Giulio» Anselmo

On 31 October 2026, at 9:30am, the funeral of Felice Anselmo, known in the city as Giulio, who died at the age of 93, was held in the church of San Domenico in Racconigi. Anselmo had been long-time president of the sports club Racco 86, of which he held the position of honorary president at the time of his death [1].
Condolences
The evening before, on Friday 30 October, the rosary had been recited in his memory in the same church of San Domenico [1]. The family's grief, which includes his wife Giovanna, his sons Simone and Roberto with their respective families, and his sister Bianca, was shared by the mayor of Racconigi, Oderda, the local Alpini group and the Associazione Chiesa di San Domenico [1].
Tributes from the mayor and the sports club
Mayor Oderda recalled how Anselmo, first through the founding of the Associazione Sportivamente San Giovanni and later of the club Racco 86, built a sporting offer open to everyone, able to make room both for the most talented and for those who played purely for enjoyment, in a spirit of inclusion and participation [1]. The Racco 86 board, together with the young people who grew up at the club, issued a farewell message thanking him for having let whole generations play football without the pressure of results, with the aim of growing and having fun [1].
