First snowfalls of the season on the Piedmont Alps (5 November 2026)

On 5 November 2026 the season's first substantial snowfalls covered the Piedmont Alps, with accumulations of up to 40 centimetres in the Cuneo area and flakes falling locally as low as 900 metres in the Stura di Demonte, Gesso, Casotto and Vermenagna valleys [1][2].
