Fatal accident in Luserna San Giovanni of 7 November 2026

On 7 November 2026, in the afternoon, a 75-year-old woman died after being hit by a car on viale De Amicis, near number 104, in Luserna San Giovanni, a municipality in Val Pellice in the Metropolitan City of Turin [1].
What happened
The woman was hit by a Fiat Panda driven by a 71-year-old woman living in Luserna San Giovanni. According to initial findings, the victim had just got out of a car to give directions to her husband near a parking area [1].
The emergency response
The alarm was raised at around 4pm. The 118 emergency operations centre of Azienda Zero responded, sending an ambulance and also calling in the regional air ambulance service's helicopter. The injuries suffered in the collision proved fatal and the woman died at the scene, despite the rescuers' efforts [1].
The investigation
Carabinieri from the Pinerolo Company are investigating to reconstruct how the accident happened [1].
