On 26 September 2026, at around 1 pm, a 43-year-old man fell from a height of several metres during a parachute jump at the strada Galassia flying field in Cumiana.123 Bystanders called 112 and, on the instructions of a nurse from Turin's 118 Emergency Operations Centre, began cardiac massage while awaiting help.123 An ambulance and the helicopter of the Regional Air Ambulance Service responded to the scene, transporting the man to the CTO hospital in Turin while medical staff continued resuscitation efforts; the man died shortly after arriving at the hospital.123
