On 7 March 2026, a 50-year-old Filipino gardener died after falling into the courtyard of the villa of businessman Marco Lavazza, on Turin's precollina hill. Based on security camera footage, prosecutors believe the man deliberately jumped, possibly in an attempt to fake an accident for an insurance payout, and have requested that the case be closed.1
