Consulta per la Valorizzazione dei Beni Artistici e Culturali di Torino

The Consulta per la Valorizzazione dei Beni Artistici e Culturali di Torino is an association of member companies and institutions that funds urban regeneration projects and the enhancement of the city's public heritage, chaired by Licia Mattioli [1][2][3].

Collaboration with the City of Turin

The Consulta has been collaborating for five years with the City of Turin's Department for Youth Policies and Urban Regeneration, led by Carlotta Salerno; in 2026 Reale Foundation also joined the collaboration as a member [1][2]. According to President Mattioli, the Consulta's approach is « pragmatic, rooted in listening to the needs of the area » [1][2].

The redevelopment of the sports fields on Via Rubino

On 22 September 2026 the Turin City Council approved a project, entirely funded by the Consulta for 155,000 euros, for the redevelopment of the sports fields at Via Rubino 28 and the adjacent green area, in the Mirafiori Nord district [1][2][3]. The project, promoted by Councillor Carlotta Salerno together with Councillor for Sport Domenico Carretta and Councillor for Green Spaces Francesco Tresso, includes new surfaces for the basketball and five-a-side football courts, the replacement of fencing, new benches and a mural designed by Truly Design Studio, as well as a new play area in the adjacent green space [1][2][3]. The works will be carried out entirely at the Consulta's expense; once completed, the space will become part of the City's heritage while retaining its public use [1][2][3].

The area in question is located near the Casa del Quartiere of Mirafiori Nord, Cascina Roccafranca, and the building that once housed the Youth Leadership Centre « L'isola che non c'è », which the City intends to reactivate [3]. Work is expected to begin in the months following the approval [3].
