Confiscation of a villa in Mango ordered by the Turin Court
Date of the event:
On 7 October 2026 the Prevention Measures Section of the Turin Court filed a confiscation order for assets worth more than 700,000 euros. The order, issued on a proposal from the Asti public prosecutor's office, targeted a high-value villa with a pool in Mango, in the Cuneo area, including furnishings and appurtenances, as well as the balance of a bank account. The property is valued between 560,000 and 700,000 euros [1].
The asset investigation
The confiscation is the result of a three-year asset investigation carried out by the Asti public prosecutor's prevention-measures team, made up of two magistrates and a Carabinieri lieutenant. Investigators examined a large volume of banking, corporate and tax records, extending their inquiries as far as Switzerland. From the records of Swiss proceedings and subsequent checks by the judicial police, investigators reconstructed a web of money transfers and corporate shields designed to conceal the real ownership of the assets [1].
The order
The confiscation concerns a man with numerous previous convictions for property crimes, already under special surveillance. According to the judges, the villa was entirely at his disposal, even though it was formally registered to a company. The fictitious registration was exposed by the gap between the man's declared income and the large sums spent on renovating the property and paying off the related loans [1].
Enforcement and developments
Enforcement of the order was entrusted to the Carabinieri of the Asti provincial command, while the confiscated assets remain under the management of a court-appointed administrator, as provided for by the Anti-Mafia Code (Codice Antimafia). The order is not final: the person concerned may lodge the appeals provided for by law [1].
