Commemoration of Grande Torino on 30 October 2026

On the morning of 30 October 2026, the commemoration of Grande Torino was held at Turin's Monumental Cemetery, organised by the Circolo Soci Torino Fc 1906 (the Torino FC members' club), chaired by Leonardo Mario D'Alessandro, and by Torino Fc, in memory of the players of the Invincibili team. [1]
The ceremony
Susanna Egri, daughter of Grande Torino's technical director and patron of the Turin club, spoke at the ceremony, recalling that the team should be remembered not only for its sporting achievements but also for the values passed on by its players. In her remarks, Egri led applause in memory of Angelo Marello, a recently deceased supporter who had been able to watch those players in action. [1]
Also taking part in the commemoration were Torino Fc's operations director Alberto Barile, city councillor Pierino Crema, Giuseppe Pallavicini representing the Associazione ex Calciatori Granata (the former Torino players' association), as well as numerous members of the Turin club. [1]
The blessing and the laying of the wreath
The ceremony ended with the solemn blessing of the graves, led by Don Gian Luca Carrega, after which a commemorative wreath was laid jointly by the Circolo Soci Torino Fc 1906 and Torino Fc. [1]
