Bardonecchia Ski
Ski area of Bardonecchia, in the upper Susa Valley, founded in 1938 and run by the company Colomion, which hosted the snowboard events of the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics.

Bardonecchia Ski is the ski area of Bardonecchia, in the upper Susa Valley, on the border with France: a resort in the Piedmontese Alps founded in 1938.13 It spans an altitude of 1,312 to 2,800 metres and is split into four sectors — Colomion-Les Arnauds, Melezet, Campo Smith and Jafferau — which form two ski areas separated by the motorway and linked by shuttle buses.23 It has about 100 kilometres of pistes, mostly easy and intermediate, and around twenty lifts including gondolas, chairlifts and ski tows.123
In 2006 Bardonecchia hosted all the snowboard events of the XX Winter Olympic Games in Turin; the event left behind a snowpark with an Olympic half-pipe at Melezet, among the largest in Europe.23 Alongside alpine skiing, the resort offers 22 kilometres of cross-country trails, and the area also includes a bike park and an alpine coaster.12 The lifts are run by Colomion spa, based in piazza Europa in Bardonecchia.4 In summer 2024 the company was acquired by Motta Holding, indirectly controlled by the fund iCON Infrastructure Partners V, which already owned Sestrieres spa, operator of the Vialattea ski area: the two resorts, just over ten kilometres apart, remain separate companies with separate boards of directors.1
The site bardonecchiaski.com is Colomion's official channel for skiers and serves as the company's point of contact for information and the snow report.4 In the Torino Top 100 ranking for September 2026, the site ranks among the 50,000 most-visited sites in Italy according to Google's Chrome UX Report.
