Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane
The Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane brings together the owners of private historic residences — castles, villas and palazzos — and promotes their preservation and opening to the public. Founded in 1977, the association is a non-profit moral entity with around 5000 members throughout Italy. [2]
On 3 October 2026, under the patronage of the Città metropolitana di Torino, the association organized the fifth edition of «Carte in Dimora», its National Day, opening private archives and libraries held in historic residences across the area free of charge to the public. In addition to «Carte in Dimora», the association organizes the ADSI National Days every spring, opening historic castles, villas and gardens: in 2024, 450 residences across Italy opened their doors.
