Premio Claudia Cardinale

The Premio Claudia Cardinale was established to celebrate the charisma and free spirit of the late Turin-born actress Claudia Cardinale, and to showcase young talents capable of bringing to the screen complex female figures outside the usual patterns. [1][2] The first edition of the award was given to Alma Noce as part of the fifth edition of the Contemporanea Film Festival, an international showcase devoted to women in cinema. [2] The ceremony took place on Friday 6 November 2026 at 8 pm at the Cinema Lux in Turin, in the presence of Claudia Squitieri, president of the Fondazione Claudia Cardinale and the actress's daughter, and of Lucilla Cristaldi, Cardinale's granddaughter. [1][2] During the evening the filmed portrait "Un Cardinale donna" by Manuel Maria Perrone was presented, and the restored version of "C'era una volta il West" by Sergio Leone was screened, with Claudia Cardinale in the role of Jill McBain.
