Vita Diocesana Pinerolese

Vita Diocesana Pinerolese is the newspaper of the diocese of Pinerolo, first published in February 2009 at the behest of the then bishop Pier Giorgio Debernardi [1]. It is published by the diocese, is based on Via Vescovado in Pinerolo, and its editor-in-chief is Patrizio Righero [1]. The newspaper belongs to the Federazione Italiana Settimanali Cattolici [1].
The paper is published every two weeks and describes itself as Piedmont's first Catholic free press: about 15,000 copies of each issue are distributed free of charge in parish churches and public places across the diocesan territory, which stretches from the Pinerolo plain to the Alpine valleys [1] [2]. The editor describes the project as following a logic of giving rather than commerce; more than a hundred volunteers help with writing and distribution [1]. Digital subscriptions are no longer sold through the online newsstand of the San Paolo network, and requests must now be made directly to the newspaper's circulation office [2].
The website vitadiocesanapinerolese.it accompanies the print edition and makes its contents available online: the diocese's events calendar announces the release of each new issue with a link to the newspaper's website [3]. In the Torino Top 100 ranking for September 2026, the site is among the 50,000 most visited websites in Italy according to Google's Chrome UX Report.
