Two Piedmontese Women Shine at Miss Italia 2026

On 21 September 2026, in the final of Miss Italia 2026 broadcast from the Castello di Santa Severa, the title of Miss Italia is awarded to Sarah Maria Rizea, an eighteen-year-old born and raised in Moncalieri, in the Province of Turin, until her family moved to Vado Ligure in 2019.[1] Rizea, a member of the Polizia di Stato's Fiamme Oro in artistic swimming and trained at Aquatica Torino, has won about a hundred medals, including a European silver in the mixed technical duet in 2024 and a bronze at the junior world championships in Lima; in 2026 she had been called up as first reserve for the European Championships in Paris.[1]

Miss Eleganza Goes to a Piedmontese Woman

In the same final, twenty-one-year-old Francesca Longobardi, from Grugliasco, after being elected Miss Piemonte, won the title of Miss Eleganza. A professional babysitter, Longobardi said that over the past year she had chosen to move closer to fashion, entertainment and communication.[2][3]
