The City of Turin issues 118,886 electronic ID cards in 2026

The City of Turin announces that between 1 January and 3 October 2026 it issued 118,886 electronic ID cards, 44% more than in the same period of 2025. To cope with the rise in requests, between April and May 2026 the City trained 83 employees and organised 34 special Saturday openings, which produced an additional 14,372 electronic ID cards. [3] The administration also plans to reopen, by the end of the year, the District 8 (Circoscrizione) office on corso Corsica, closed for two years for renovation work.
