Strike of Apple Employees in Turin (September 18, 2026)

On September 18, 2026, employees of the Apple Stores in Turin join a nationwide 24-hour strike called by Filcams Cgil, Fisascat Cisl and Uiltucs, on the day of the launch of the new generation of iPhone. A rally is held from 9 am to 1 pm in front of the store at via Roma 82; in Turin there are about 170 Apple employees, split between the via Roma store and the one at the Le Gru shopping center.

The protest concerns mainly workloads and the stabilization of temporary workers, who make up about 10% of the staff, more than wages. Filcams Cgil union representative Fabrizio Nicoletti speaks of «a problem of staffing levels and workloads»; Claudia Bongiovanni, Cgil shop steward at the Le Gru store, calls for the stabilization of temporary workers. The mobilization follows the national assemblies held on September 7, 2026, which had revealed widespread discontent among workers.
