Salone Auto Torino 2027
Date of the event:
The Salone Auto Torino 2027 is the fourth edition of the Turin Motor Show, an event dedicated to the automotive sector held in the city's urban spaces rather than inside exhibition halls. The 2027 edition has been announced for 24, 25 and 26 September, with free admission for the public.[1]
Dates and organisation
The event will run from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 September 2027, with exhibits open roughly from 9am to 7pm.[1] As in previous editions, the show will use open urban settings: past editions have covered the city's monumental areas, such as Piazza Castello, the spaces near the royal residence and the surrounding green areas.[1] The layout of the cars and the location of the stands for 2027 will be set out in further announcements from the organisers.[1]
What to expect
The exhibition will feature cars from different segments, with attention to vehicles' technical features and to solutions for fuel consumption, safety and comfort.[1] Particular attention will be given to electrified powertrains, including battery electric and hybrid cars.[1] Visitors will also be able to look at interior features, digital devices and driver assistance systems.[1] The list of cars actually on display is not yet available at the time of the announcement.[1]
Test drives
Among the features of previous editions were hands-on test drives of the vehicles, allowing visitors to assess aspects such as driving position, visibility, throttle response and how electronic systems perform over a short route.[1] The event's full programme, together with information on participating manufacturers, will be presented in the months after the announcement.[1]
