Presentation of Marianna Aprile's Book «La promessa» in Chivasso (31 October 2026)

On Saturday 31 October 2026, at 10:30 am, the Teatrino Civico in Chivasso hosts the presentation of «La promessa. Dal suffragio femminile alla prima donna a Palazzo Chigi, storia di una rivoluzione incompleta», published by Rizzoli, by journalist and writer Marianna Aprile. The event is promoted by the City of Chivasso and the «MOviMEnte» civic library.¹²

Marianna Aprile, a presenter on the La7 programme «In Onda» and author of the «Momento critico» column in Marie Claire, traces in the book eighty years of Italian history: from the battles for women's suffrage and the first vote cast by women in 1946 to the arrival of the first woman as prime minister.¹

The event is introduced by the Mayor of Chivasso, Claudio Castello, and moderated by deputy mayor Pasquale Centin.¹
