Prali

Prali is a municipality in Val Germanasca (Val Germanasca), in the Metropolitan City of Turin. The village is reached by Provincial Road 169 of Val Germanasca, the route linking the municipal area with the rest of the valley, and is served by a local public transport line ^[1][2].

Works on Provincial Road 169 in October 2026

In October 2026 a stretch of Provincial Road 169, between kilometre 18+800 and kilometre 19+100, just before the entrance to the village of Prali, was affected by micropile drilling works at kilometre 18+900 ^[1][2]. During the works an unexpected collapse of the roadside kerb occurred, making it necessary to position the drilling rig across the carriageway, further reducing the space available for traffic ^[1][2].

To complete the works, the Metropolitan City of Turin ordered the closure of the stretch to vehicles wider than two metres on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 October 2026, from 8am to noon and from 3pm to 4pm, leaving the road open only to light vehicles under two metres wide ^[1][2].

Coordination with the municipality and public transport

The measure was agreed after a consultation process involving the Metropolitan City of Turin's roads department, Prali's municipal administration and the company running the local public transport line serving the municipality, with the aim of limiting disruption for residents and road users ^[1][2].
