A government decree postpones to 1 October 2027 the start of the circulation bans for Euro 5 diesel cars, confirming for Piedmont a suspension already decided at regional level. The decree also covers Lombardy, Veneto and Emilia-Romagna, the other regions of the Po Valley basin subject to the same ban; for Piedmont the national postponement consolidates a choice already adopted at regional level in July 2026, when the regional assembly had ruled out starting the ban in the autumn.
