Planet Idea Workers' Strike in Turin over Unpaid Wages (October 2026)

On 22 October 2026 Fisascat CISL A.M. Torino Canavese called a strike with a protest rally, from 2pm to 4pm outside the company's offices at corso Stati Uniti 45 in Turin, involving around fifty Turin-based employees of Planet Idea, a company founded in 2015 that designs smart buildings and urban districts.12

The workers report wages unpaid since July 2026, ten months of overdue meal vouchers, the suspension of health insurance cover and the non-payment of part of their social security contributions, following a year on the cassa integrazione (a state-funded wage guarantee scheme for workers on reduced or suspended hours) starting in April 2025 and six months on a solidarity contract (a scheme cutting working hours to avoid layoffs), both at the maximum allowed percentage.12

The union, through Matteo Rossi of Fisascat CISL Torino, is asking the shareholders and the chairman of the holding company that controls Planet Idea, Stefano Buono, for a timetable to pay the overdue sums, the reinstatement of the suspended benefits, and an industrial plan backed by investment.12
