Nursind mobilisation over the Dialysis ward building site at Ivrea hospital (October 2026)

On 5 October 2026 the Nursind union begins a mobilisation in Ivrea with travelling «billboard trucks» to denounce work that has never started on the Dialysis ward of the Ivrea hospital and the forced transfer of patients to Castellamonte since March 2026. The union denounces a delay of years: already in September 2023 it had reported the same work never begun and a staff shortage in the Dialysis ward, asking for a meeting with the leadership of the Asl To4. [4] To protest, the union circulates billboard trucks between Ivrea and Castellamonte, distributing an open letter to citizens, patients and staff. [3] In February 2026 Nursind had already written to the regional health councillor Federico Riboldi and to the Asl To4 general manager Luigi Vercellino asking for guarantees on funding and a firm timetable for the work. [5] The renovation concerns Block D of the hospital and, according to the union, the least stable patients are meanwhile confined to provisional positions on the fourth floor of the Medicine ward.
