On 26 October 2026, the referee permanently suspended, in the 30th minute of the second half with the score at 2-1, the Terza Categoria (the lowest tier of Italian amateur football) match between Nichelino U21 and San Remigio.123
The referee decided on the suspension because of the highly tense atmosphere in the stands, with insults directed at him and alleged discriminatory chants against some visiting players; the incident will be examined by the Giudice Sportivo, the body that rules on disciplinary matters in Italian amateur football.123
