New season of free talks at the Museo Egizio in Turin (2026-2027)

The Museo Egizio in Turin presents its new season of talks, thirty free events designed especially for young people, university students and enthusiasts of ancient civilisations: the season begins on 17 October 2026 and ends on 6 July 2027 [1][2][3].

The programme pairs archaeology and science with cinema and role-playing games: on 4 December 2026 Egyptologist Divina Centore meets Dario Blandina, an expert in fantasy adventures, in an event organised with the Goblin Torino association devoted to the role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons; on 6 November 2026 the focus shifts to cinema, with a discussion on great epic narratives, including in relation to director Christopher Nolan's film project on the Odyssey [3].

Other events include a dialogue between museum director Christian Greco and researcher Ilaria Capua on epidemics and climate change, an international study day on Egyptian blue, and three talks dedicated to how exhibitions are organised [3].
