The Museo Piemontese dell'Informatica (MuPIn) is a museum based in Turin devoted to the history of computing, which turns fifteen in 2026. The first edition of its festival, then titled «A Bit of [Hi]story», was held on 21 and 22 May 2016 in the MRF space at Mirafiori. [4]
To mark the anniversary, in October 2026 the museum opened the festival «A bit of [hi]story», devoted to the energy and environmental costs of digital technology.
The «A bit of [hi]story» festival 2026, in the museum's 15th year
The festival «A bit of [hi]story» of the Museo Piemontese dell'Informatica (MuPIn) opens in Turin, marking the museum's 15th year by looking at the energy and environmental costs of digital technology.
After the 2016 flood, which hit the Moncalieri premises and damaged some of the exhibits, the museum's collection is now housed in piazza Riccardo Valla, shared with the Museo del Fantastico e della Fantascienza, and since 2025 has been partly accessible online thanks to a project supported by the Ministry of Culture's TOCC funds and by the Pnrr.
