Meeting «Generazione (s)fiducia» at the Arsenale della Pace
Date of the event:
The meeting «Generazione (s)fiducia» was held on Monday 26 October 2026 at 6:45pm at the Arsenale della Pace in Turin, in piazza Borgo Dora 61. The event opened the new session of Sermig's University of Dialogue (Università del Dialogo), titled «Mi fido di te» («I trust you») and devoted to the theme of trust between generations, politics and institutions.[1]
Theme of the meeting
The guest of the evening was Lorenzo Pregliasco, political analyst, university lecturer and co-founder of YouTrend. The dialogue with the audience addressed the relationship between young people, politics and institutions, questioning the reasons for young people's distance from political participation and the possibilities of rebuilding a bond of trust.[1]
The University of Dialogue
The University of Dialogue is an initiative promoted by Sermig, a peace and solidarity organisation founded in Turin in 1964 by Ernesto Olivero and his wife Maria. The programme was inaugurated at the Vatican on 31 January 2004 by Pope John Paul II and has over the years hosted figures from the worlds of culture, media, economics, politics, solidarity and the arts, with the aim of fostering dialogue between generations on issues of collective interest.[1]
Attendance
Attendance in person at the meeting was free, until seats ran out. The event was also broadcast live on Sermig's YouTube and Facebook channels and on the website www.sermig.org/diretta.[1]
