Inail

Inail reports, in October 2026, that in Piedmont injury reports among students rose by 3.5% in the first eight months of 2026, making the region the fourth in Italy by number of reports. In July 2026 the Ministry of Health added to the healthcare building programme funded by Inail the construction of the new Ospedale Infantile Regina Margherita in Turin, with an additional contribution of 300 million euros bringing the value of the Piedmont works planned under the programme to about 2.4 billion; the new hospital joins the seven already included in the June 2025 agreement between the Piedmont Region and Inail (Torino Nord, Cambiano, Ivrea, Vercelli, Savigliano, Cuneo and Alessandria). The project covers an area of about 50,000 square metres with 294 places, of which 263 are beds and 31 technical, in an area south of the Grattacielo Piemonte near the future Parco della Salute.
