Identity checks before the 24 October 2026 anti-rearmament march

On 24 October 2026, in Turin, in the hours immediately before a march against rearmament and the cost of living planned for piazza Castello, the Carabinieri, the Guardia di Finanza and the State Police identified 302 people. Of these, 57 had previous convictions [1].
The checks
Six people were investigated for possession of objects suitable for causing injury or for concealing their identity in a public place [1]. The preventive measures were agreed at a technical meeting with the prefect and arranged by an order of the chief of police (Questore) [1].
