Fondazione Vezza

Fondazione Vezza is an institution born in Monforte d'Alba, in the Langhe, founded by Sandra and Charley Vezza and directed by Flavio Del Monte, which brings contemporary art into dialogue with nature and landscape [1].

The project on Colle San Pietro

The Foundation's project unfolds on Colle San Pietro, among vineyards and woods, in an area that preserves the ruins of the ancient Monastero di San Pietro, first attested in 1014. The aim is to care for this natural and historical heritage and make it accessible to the public [1].

The Foundation was conceived as a project in the making, intended to involve, every year, one or more Italian and international artists called on to create works in relation to the area, its paths, the woods and existing architectural features; over the course of about ten years the works will give rise to a path in constant transformation, respecting the hill's original identity [1].
