Fondazione Arte CRT's 2026 Artissima acquisitions campaign
Date of the event:

During the 2026 edition of Artissima, Turin's international contemporary art fair, Fondazione Arte CRT confirms the €300,000 fund for its acquisitions campaign in favour of the GAM - Galleria Civica d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Torino (Turin's civic gallery of modern and contemporary art) and the Castello di Rivoli Museo d'Arte Contemporanea (Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art) [1][2].
Support for Artissima
Fondazione Arte CRT, the art-focused arm of Fondazione CRT, has for more than twenty-five years been one of the fair's main partners, which it supports through a wide-ranging commitment aimed at promoting contemporary art research and strengthening the city's public heritage [1][2]. After the increase approved in the previous edition, the Foundation confirms the €300,000 fund for 2026, which it describes as the largest investment in acquisitions in recent years [2].
The works acquired
During the 2026 edition the Foundation acquired 15 new works by 11 artists, intended for public display [1][2]. Works by Michel Auder, Juliana Frontin, Renata Lucas, Hu Yun and Akram Zaatari will join the permanent collection of the Castello di Rivoli Museo d'Arte Contemporanea, while works by Rossella Biscotti, Flavio Favelli, Linda Fregni Nagler, Dora Garcia, Thomas Hirschhorn and Boris Mikhailov will join the permanent collections of the GAM - Galleria Civica d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Torino [1][2].
Statements
Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, chair of Fondazione Arte CRT, states: "Fondazione Arte CRT, which operates on behalf of and thanks to the contribution of Fondazione CRT, renews its support for Artissima, confirming a commitment that over the years has become an integral part of our mission" [1][2]. Sandretto Re Rebaudengo adds that the decision to renew the acquisitions fund shows the will to give continuity to a strategic investment in contemporary art, supporting the work of the galleries and artists at the fair and contributing to the growth of the public collections of the GAM and the Castello di Rivoli [2].
