Festa del Cevrin di Coazze

The Festa del Cevrin di Coazze is the Valsangone agri-food fair dedicated to Cevrin di Coazze, a cheese added in 2001 to the Basket of typical products of the then Province of Turin and recognized as a Slow Food Presidium. The event, traditionally held under the patronage of the Metropolitan City of Turin, showcases the typical products of the Valsangone mountains, from gastronomic specialities to local crafts.1,2,3

The 25th edition (October 2026)

The twenty-fifth edition was held in Coazze from 15 to 18 October 2026. In the days before the fair, the programme included the theatre performance “Chi è di scena” by the “Sotto il Castello” company of Rivoli, the presentation of the book “L'ultima essenza” by Mara Barbara Rosso, and the presentation to the heirs of Marina Lussiana of a plaque commemorating the agro-silvo-pastoral road to the Sellery alpine pastures, named after her in 2019.1,2

On Sunday 18 October the fair opened in piazza della Vittoria with the Coazze Philharmonic Band and the Happy Blue majorettes, before extending until 7pm into viale Italia '61' and the town's squares with stands of agri-food products, crafts and street food, an exhibition of Alpine Chamois goats and the traditional “rudùn” cowbells. The Ecomuseo dell'Alta Val Sangone hosted the exhibition “La filiera del latte e del formaggio” (the milk and cheese supply chain), while the Ente di gestione delle Aree protette delle Alpi Cozie ran a cheese-making demonstration.1,2,3
