Digi.TO - the online magazine of Turin's Informagiovani
Digi.TO (digi.to.it) was the online magazine run by the Youth Policy Sector of the City of Turin through the Centro InformaGiovani, conceived as a "digital city" for sharing information about life in Turin.1
The project was aimed at young Turin residents aged 18 to 30 and was run, as of late 2011, by an editorial team of 23 young people responsible for moderating interaction and ensuring users' safety.2
The site's map mirrored the centre of Turin: users discussed current affairs in the "Municipio" (Town Hall) section, university life in the "Ateneo", browsed listings in "InformaGiovani", events at the "Murazzi", videos in "Piazza San Carlo" and partner showcases in "Piazza Castello".1
The project was still running in January 2025, renamed "the online magazine of the Youth Policy Service" and flanked by the TorinoGiovani portal.3
The domain, registered since 3 July 2007, issued 103 digital certificates between November 2018 and February 2026 and is paid for until 18 December 2026.45
The Digi.TO project from 2007 to 2025: Informagiovani and Youth Policy
Digi.TO began as a project of the City of Turin's Youth Policy Sector, aimed at young Turin residents aged 18 to 30, to share information about the city through a participatory online magazine; its sections included Municipio, with articles from the editorial team and from citizens, and Ateneo, dedicated to university life.
In 2011 the project also ran the "Digi.TO Fuoriclasse Music" workshop, aimed at students in the last two years of Turin's secondary schools who were interested in school and music journalism.
The site, online at least since October 2007, changed its name over time: from "Digi.TO - La comunità dell'InformaGiovani di Torino" (2007) to "Digi.TO - Il magazine on line dell'Informagiovani di Torino" (2011-2012), and finally to "Digi.TO - Il magazine online del Servizio Politiche Giovanili" in the last known snapshot, from January 2025.
The domain digi.to.it in the web archive
The domain digi.to.it, in the web archive since 20 October 2007, appears as "Digi.TO - La comunità dell' InformaGiovani di Torino". The magazine, born as an initiative of Turin's Informagiovani, continues in 2025 as a publication of the City of Turin's Youth Policy Service.
From Digi.TO of the InformaGiovani to the magazine of the Youth Policy Service (2007-2025)
In 2007 Digi.TO presented itself as "the community of Turin's InformaGiovani" and also hosted content from the site's partners, such as an article from tuttinoi.it on Ramadan as observed by about 90% of Turin's Muslims. In the 2011 version the online magazine was organised by city locations — Municipio, Ateneo, Piazza San Carlo, Murazzi, InformaGiovani, Piazza Castello — each with its own column of articles, events or listings.
In the most recent version, from 2025, the title had been renamed "Digi.TO - Il magazine online del Servizio Politiche Giovanili", run by the City of Turin as part of the TorinoGiovani portal, with columns on culture, music, education, university, work, technology, the environment and sport.
From a magazine with tuttinoi.it to a portal of the Youth Policy Service
The site digi.to.it, online since 2007, was initially a magazine produced with the partner tuttinoi.it; from 2011 it presented itself as "the online magazine of Turin's Informagiovani", before becoming, in its more recent versions, "the online magazine of the Youth Policy Service" of the City of Turin, with columns on culture, music, education, work and mobility.
The domain digi.to.it
The domain digi.to.it is documented in the web archive from 20 October 2007, when it presented itself as the site of the community of Turin's Informagiovani; by 16 January 2025 it had become the online magazine of the Youth Policy Service.
