Daniel Osvaldo is a former footballer, a forward who played for, among other clubs, Juventus, Roma and Inter. In September 2026 he was hospitalized in intensive care in Buenos Aires with a severe pleural effusion in his right lung, complicated by an infection.

On 26 September 2026 the former Juventus, Roma and Inter forward Daniel Osvaldo was hospitalized in intensive care in Buenos Aires with a severe pleural effusion in his right lung, complicated by an infection.

He was admitted as an emergency to the Hospital Municipal de Llavallol, in Lomas de Zamora, near Buenos Aires; it was one of his sisters who noticed his condition worsening and had him taken to hospital. [4]

Having officially retired in 2020, the former forward had been called up to the Italian national team by Cesare Prandelli, with whom he took part in the Azzurri's run to the final of Euro 2012. [4]
