Cristina Prandi is the rector of the University of Turin.1

On 29 September 2026, Prandi was the first signatory of an open letter, signed by more than 250 professors and university officials, calling on Turin mayor Stefano Lo Russo to act on road safety and cycling mobility in the city after the death of a child in a traffic accident; the appeal accompanied the sit-ins on corso Regina Margherita.12

On 30 September 2026, Prandi distanced herself from a pro-Palestine gathering announced for 7 October at the University of Turin's Luigi Einaudi Campus.3
