Banco Alimentare del Piemonte

The Banco Alimentare del Piemonte is an organization that recovers surplus food to redistribute it to people in need.

In 2025 it recovered 5,339 tonnes of food from waste, equal to 55.3% of the 9,664 tonnes collected and redistributed overall, supporting more than 111,000 people in difficulty.

The network that makes the recovery possible relies on 560 local organizations linked to the Fondazione Banco Alimentare. [3]

According to the president of the Fondazione Banco Alimentare del Piemonte, Francesco Rondinelli, the recovery of surplus food generates a social, economic and environmental impact, quantified in a saving of 7,444 tonnes of CO2 not released into the atmosphere. [4]
