The Alessandria leg of the national «Uniti per Paolo» marathon took place on 5 November 2026 in the Council Chamber (Sala Consiliare) of the Municipality. The initiative, organised by Fondazione Uniti per Paolo ETS and chaired by Rossella Lamarra, features the runner Andrea Pieri, who is covering the legs of the awareness campaign against youth violence. Aims of the initiative

The declared aim of the Alessandria leg was to promote concrete reflection on what institutions, schools, families and associations can achieve together to counter violent behaviour and build safer communities. According to the organisers, preventing violence cannot be left to a single body, but requires shared responsibility and ongoing commitment. [1]

The story of Paolo Sarullo

All the places visited by the marathon are linked to the story of Paolo Sarullo, who at 24 was the victim of a brutal assault in Albenga, in the province of Savona, during an attempt to steal his scooter. [1]
