On 28 October 2026 Luserna San Giovanni hosted the public meeting «La Valle che ricicla» («The valley that recycles»), dedicated to waste sorting in Val Pellice and organised by the local branch of the Democratic Party. Speakers included the mayor of Torre Pellice, Maurizia Allisio, and the chairman of the Piedmont Waste Authority, Paolo Foietta, with a video contribution from Bra city councillor Francesca Amato.1
