The «La Prima Volta» project for Turin's new voters (October 2026)

On 8 October 2026 the City of Turin presented «La Prima Volta», a one-year project designed to guide 7,700 new voters to the polls, starting on 9 October 2026.^{The project, whose full title is «La Prima Volta – Un anno di incontri, percorsi ed eventi fino al tuo primo voto» ("The First Time – a year of meetings, itineraries and events leading up to your first vote"), is carried out by the Fondazione per la Cultura Torino as part of Biennale Democrazia and is supported by the Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo through the "Feste del Primo Voto" call, in which 71 municipalities across Piedmont and Liguria take part. The initiative works on two levels: a formal letter of invitation sent by the City to each of the 7,700 new voters, and citizenship workshops involving about 200 students from 10 secondary-school classes and around a hundred young people aged 17 to 19, through the Network of Case del Quartiere (neighbourhood community centres), the City of Turin's Intercultural Centre, and the Museo Diffuso della Resistenza, della Deportazione, della Guerra, dei Diritti e della Libertà.
