Joint police operation in Barriera di Milano and Parco Sempione (1 October 2026)

On 1 October 2026, a joint police operation swept through the Barriera di Milano neighbourhood in Turin and the Parco Sempione area: 67 people were identified, 9 were reported, and 14 exclusion orders were issued barring people from the park. It was not the first operation of this kind in the area: on 11 August 2026, a similar high-impact check in Barriera di Milano and Parco Sempione had led to the identification of about 250 people, 8 arrests, and the seizure of nearly a kilogram of drugs, including cocaine, hashish and heroin.3
A similar operation, carried out on 14 July 2026, had led to 11 arrests and the seizure of more than 21,000 drug pills in the Parco Sempione area.4
