On 18 September 2026, a network of "sentinel doctors" was presented in Turin, a group of healthcare professionals tasked with observing and reporting environmental and health risks present in the city. The initiative was made public by the local press on the same day. [1][2]
The initiative
The network brings together doctors who, in the course of their work, gather information and reports concerning possible environmental risk factors with an impact on the health of Turin's population. The stated goal is to create a widespread presence across the territory capable of identifying, at an early stage, critical situations related to the environment and public health. [1][2]
