European Researchers' Night in Turin
The European Researchers' Night is an annual science outreach event funded by the European Commission under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions of the Horizon Europe programme. In Turin it is coordinated by the University of Turin together with the Polytechnic of Turin, the City of Turin, the Turin Chamber of Commerce, the Cottino Social Impact Campus and GTT.12
The 2026 edition, which marked the event's twentieth anniversary, took place on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 September, with 350 activities including workshops, lectures, exhibitions, shows and escape rooms, and around 1,500 researchers, PhD students and university students involved together with 30 institutions among universities, research centres, foundations, museums and associations.12
The heart of the event took place in Parco del Valentino, along viale Mattioli, between the Orto Botanico and the Castello del Valentino, in line with the City of Turin's VALE project, which aims to turn the Valentino into an open-air scientific and cultural hub.12
