The sequence of events
The incident occurred around 2 a.m. on a property on Via Roma, a farmhouse undergoing renovation. The owner of the property, a 35-year-old Italian citizen, was alone in the building when he was reportedly woken by suspicious noises coming from outside. It was the 35-year-old himself who raised the alarm immediately after the shooting. Paramedics from the 118 emergency service, who arrived at the scene together with law enforcement, could only confirm the victim's death. The area was sealed off by the Carabinieri of the Bra Company and by specialists from the Cuneo Investigative Unit, tasked with establishing the exact sequence of events. The homeowner is under investigation for homicide.[1][2]
